Okay so I really don’t have a whole lot to say today, but I wanted to show off globally my new “red” look.
Because every post deserves a category these posts could be about anything and everything.
Okay so I really don’t have a whole lot to say today, but I wanted to show off globally my new “red” look.
Okay so my phone is dying, a very slow death and it is time in my budget to finally get a new one. I’ve been looking for one for that last year it is now been 3 months since my current contract expired. And my battery life is now well under 24 hours. 🙁
Anyways I think I found one that actually does what I need in a phone, e-mail, excel, browse the web, and make phone calls. This one I like because it is easier to type on. The Blackberry Pearl Red.
Also with one of these I could even post to this blog easier than I could with my current phone the Nokia 6620. And I have not been able to find a new battery. The only thing is that I will have to probably wait until September.
The only thing that is not good is that it looks like my very first Cell Phone from back in 2003 the Motorola c333, with the red and silver Roots Face-plate that I had to return in under a week, for an even worse phone the Motorola v66.
I guess that is it for now, seeing that I need to go to work tonight.
Leave comments I really love to read them and wished at times that I would get more of them. If you are reading a RSS of this on Facebook you can leave a reply there too!
The Dominion Institute National Citizenship Exam Survey Of 2007
-Six In Ten (60%) Canadians Fail Mock Citizenship Exam Similar To One Immigrants Take To Become Canadian Citizens
-33% More Canadians Fail Test Now Than 10 Years Ago
Okay this survey I find really hard to believe. Do to the one of the statements.
“Fewer than two in ten (16%) could name the four provinces that joined together in Confederation in 1867. ”
This question is worded wrong and really annoys me everytime I hear it. It should read.
“Fewer than two in ten (16%) could name the four provinces that were created by Confederation in 1867. ”
Because of the plain and simple fact that there were four provinces (NB, NS, PEI, and Canada) at the meetings in Charlottetown, Quebec City and London conferences buy one PEI declined to join until 1874. Therefore only three provinces joined together in Confederation in 1867 (NB, NS, and Canada) and in the Constitution Act of 1867 the first sentence is “Whereas the Provinces of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick have expressed their Desire to be federally united into One Dominion under the Crown of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, with a Constitution similar in Principle to that of the United Kingdom:” clearly defines the fact that there were only three provinces to join confederation at that time.
It is Sections 5, 6, and 7 that divide up the three provinces into four provinces upon joining confederation.
5. Canada shall be divided into Four Provinces, named Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.
6. The Parts of the Province of Canada (as it exists at the passing of this Act) which formerly constituted respectively the Provinces of Upper Canada and Lower Canada shall be deemed to be severed, and shall form two separate Provinces. The Part which formerly constituted the Province of Upper Canada shall constitute the Province of Ontario; and the Part which formerly constituted the Province of Lower Canada shall constitute the Province of Quebec.
7. The Provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick shall have the same Limits as at the passing of this Act.
People just need to be getting their details strait before making these bogus claims. I wonder how many of the 84% that got that question wrong knew the truth that there was only three.
And for the people that say that Canada East and Canada West were 2 different colonies then I must refer you to the 1840 Act of Union.
From Wikipedia:
“The Act of Union (3 & 4 Vict. c. 35) passed in July 1840 and proclaimed February 10, 1841, abolished the legislatures of Lower Canada and Upper Canada and established a new political entity, the Province of Canada to replace them. This act effecting the political union of The Canadas was similar in nature and in goals to the other Acts of Union enacted by the British Parliament.”
Okay, to start off with I have posted the pics that were taken during my Toronto trip on my camera phone in my gallery https://cefm.ca/category/snapshots/ if you are reading this via RSS or Facebook) I still have some more that were taken with my Digital Camera.
Remember the Answer to The Ultimate Question Of Life, the Universe and Everything is 42.
Crushed Beautifully 2 has now been storyboarded and my other video project, working title is “Remember…” has been rewitten and just needs some more casting. And than filming. I am hoping to get it submitted to a film festival by this fall.
As for movies I have seen recently I have to make a three really good recomentations, in order of greatness is Oceans 13 (CEFM Rating: 4.5/5), Knocked Up (CEFM Rating: 5/5), and Pirates of the Carribean 3 (CEFM Rating: 5/5).
I cannot wait until the Simpsons movie (CEFM Rating: 5/5) comes out and Licence to Wed (CEFM Rating: 3.5/5) with Robin Williams.
I’m planning on making a Part 2 of my video “Crushed Beautifully” everybody, send me close-up or macro photos of something crushed in an artistic setting. Everyone will get credited if they want.
Greetings to everyone that is reading this.
Well the several weeks have been very busy. Haven’t had much time to put a post here. But now here it is. I am currently working on a script for a short film that I wan’t to produce this spring. It will be very cool and about 10 minutes long.
So over the past two weeks I have seen many new movies in the theatres, The Last King of Scotland, The Astronaut Farmer, Happy Feet, Stomp the Yard, 300, and most recently I seen Wild Hogs. All of these were very good movies.
Anyways I hope you all had a chance to see my daytime graphics for St. Paddy’s Week, They were killer.
Anyways that is all for now to all my friends currently reading this on Facebook, Yahoo 360, Windows Live Spaces, RSS, or here on my one website CEFM.ca. (The MySpace is now dead because they make it too hard to blog there.)
Okay, so if you know me I really hate people telling that I can’t do something. As an example someone told me that it was too complicated to make a moving background for a TV show, and I did. Someone told me that programming an RTX program required lots of coding that I could not do, I bought a book on VB and within two weeks had a functioning TV Bingo program that basically changed all the dates, and played the animations and that was it. Now my pride in joy pinnacle of accomplishment, the Too Close to Call graphics, is very close to being complete. It pretty much does pretty much everything but a few very advanced features that I am still working on.
While that being said, this week I was told that the fact I am not bilingual was affecting my ability to get a better job. So there for I have now decided that by May 12th, 2008 I will study hard and become bilingual, and that by this summer I will get my Drivers license. So to these ends I have decided to make a webpage called “My Goals” to track my progress.
So for the last few weeks I have used Facebook a lot. It is really easier than MySpace, and does more. Like these posts for an example. As I write these I am using by blogging software on my website called WordPress. And it makes XML files for an RSS reader. Now Yahoo360, Windows Live Spaces, and Facebook will get my blog directly from this site, but not MySpace for MySpace I have to copy and paste it. The best thing about MySpace is the videos because I can post those on here but I can’t do a YouTube Video easily.
Also I have found a lot of long-lost acquaintances on Facebook which is really cool. I guess that is it.
And I don’t really plan on watching it. Even though I made a prediction of the Colts 25-20, on 2C2C:Too Close To Call this evening.
So I just finished a first draft of a screenplay that I plan on Producing this Spring. It is a short that will be about 10 minutes in length.
So what have I been upto in the past few weeks… Well you could say work but I work so few hours that it seems more like a casual activity that a real job. Although it is getting kind of boring but the question at this point is that if I left what would I do?
I’ve kinda had bad luck with a few of my last several jobs. But anyways what’s next…
I’ve done 5 TV shows over the past few days. Some were very interesting.
Well, I guess I’m not going to get to finish this, Tony called and we are off to see “The Messengers”.
That’s all for now.
Ok, so let’s begin the post I have promissed a few days ago about my what my Oscar Pics whould have been. Here are my choises and comments.
Best Actress-
Performance by an actor in a leading role
Will Smith in “The Pursuit of Happyness†(Sony Pictures Releasing)
Will Smith really diserves this award. I have never been the largest Will Smith fan but his acting in this movie just about made me cry.
Performance by an actor in a supporting role
I really don’t know about this catigory who should get this award. There is really not an outstanding name to look for here in this catagory. Neither nominated or not.
Performance by an actress in a leading role
Meryl Streep in “The Devil Wears Prada†(20th Century Fox)
Kate Winslet in “Little Children†(New Line)
These 2 names are my hopfulls, but I was really hoping to see maybe Kirsten Dunst here for here roll in “Marie Antionette”
Performance by an actress in a supporting role
Abigail Breslin in “Little Miss Sunshine†(Fox Searchlight)Â
Best animated feature film of the year
 “Happy Feet†(Warner Bros.) George Miller
If any movie diserved this more it was Happy Feet. I have never seen more non-moviegoing people go and see a Cartoon movie than I have for this movie. Even though I missed this one.
Achievement in art direction
 “The Prestige†(Buena Vista)
Art Direction: Nathan Crowley
Set Decoration: Julie Ochipinti
Achievement in cinematography
  “Children of Men†(Universal) Emmanuel LubezkiÂ
Achievement in costume design
“The Devil Wears Prada†(20th Century Fox) Patricia Field
“Marie Antoinette†(Sony Pictures Releasing) Milena Canonero
Both are very deserving of this award.
Achievement in directing
“Letters from Iwo Jima†(Warner Bros.) Clint Eastwood
“United 93†(Universal and StudioCanal) Paul Greengrass
Best documentary feature
 “My Country, My Country†(Zeitgeist Films)
A Praxis Films Production
Laura Poitras and Jocelyn Glatzer
Best documentary short subject
 “Rehearsing a Dreamâ€
A Simon & Goodman Picture Company Production
Karen Goodman and Kirk Simon
Achievement in film editing
None of the nominiess seem to belong here, I really think that this award might have been better chosenÂ
Best foreign language film of the year
 “Water†A Hamilton-Mehta Production
Achievement in makeup
“Apocalypto†(Buena Vista) Aldo Signoretti and Vittorio Sodano
Achievement in music written for motion pictures (Original score)
“The Good German†(Warner Bros.) Thomas Newman
Achievement in music written for motion pictures (Original song)
 “Our Town†from “Carsâ€
Best motion picture of the year
 My choises would have been:
The Devel wears Prada
Night at the Musem
Prusuit of Happyness
Marie Antionette
Best animated short film
“The Danish Poet†(National Film Board of Canada)
Best live action short film
 “West Bank Storyâ€
Achievement in sound editing/Achievement in sound mixing
 “Apocalypto†(Buena Vista)
Sean McCormack and Kami Asgar
Kevin O’Connell, Greg P. Russell and Fernando Camara
Seriously this movie had to have the best sound track ever. The sound in this movie tells the story better than the acting.
Achievement in visual effects
 “Superman Returns†(Warner Bros.)
Mark Stetson, Neil Corbould, Richard R. Hoover and Jon Thum
Really dissapointed that “Night at the Museum” was snubbed. The reason I liked this one for visuall effects was that they looked real. Most visuall effescts are just too computer faked lately it is sickining.Â
Adapted screenplay
 “Notes on a Scandal†(Fox Searchlight)
Screenplay by Patrick Marber
Seriously Borat cannot win this one. That movie is a mockery of Screen play writing.
Original screenplay
 “Letters from Iwo Jima†(Warner Bros.)
Screenplay by Iris Yamashita
Story by Iris Yamashita & Paul Haggis
You would think that it calling Rogers and talking to the voice automation is bad. Then you have never had the pleasure of meeting, Melanie, the inbred country cousin that guards the pay-as-you-go phone line. This computer does not even recognize the common commands that you can use with other auto-gatekeepers. And what is worse is that every Rogers call centre rat is trained to sick Melanie on you.
Why can Rogers use the same system as every other service for Pay-as-you-go. At least that person has half a brain to understand what you want, and not listing everything.
Wow, what a nail-bitter of an election. After 7 long years of prosperity it is now time for Lord to ride off in the beautiful sunset. New Brunswick is in such good shape now that Graham should have an easy term ahead.
Some of the results were shocking but in the end a Camille Theriault said in 1999. The people of New Brunswick are always right and they have decided it was time to change. But is it really, is our system really right or is it time that it becomes fixed.
When CTV News Atlantic signed off the popular vote (votes of everyone combined) came in the it did not match the real seat count results. 29 Lib / 26 PC / 0 NDP / 0 Ind. Which in percent that works out to 52.7% Lib / 47.3% PC / 0% NDP / 0% Ind. But the popular vote was. 47.7% PC / 47.0% Lib / 5.1% NDP / 0.2% Ind. That in seats would be 26 PC / 26 Lib / 3 NDP. So the question to ask is this. Is this fair that close to 10% of votes in NB do not matter.
I usually don’t talk too much about the shows that I do at Rogers Television but I want to plug this one that was advertised in the Telegraph-Journal today. I am ver excited about this and the new season that starts next weekend (24th).
Alcohol use helps boost income: study – Yahoo! News
Well, I guess I don’t drink enough. So to recap….
No Drinking = Poor Sober and Depressed.
Some Drinking = Rich and Happy.
Lots-o-Drinking = Poor and Homeless.
Within 20 hours of an interview, this letter came in.
Like come on if you end the meeting with “I’m going to hand this off to the Seasonal recruiters. As I explained we schedule our shifts two weeks in advance. So you should hear from us in about a week and a half.” Then like wait a week or so before sending out the letter. Even the approach IBM takes is better. “Thank you for coming in, but I don’t really think you will fit in this department why don’t I hand off you application to the other department.” But any recruiter that is this spineless to say a week or so and then run to stuff an envelope in the mail as soon as you leave gees…
I’m gonna miss this guy.
The plan and simple answer is that Blogger does not have the capability to put comments and not have an archives. But gladly there is always my guest book to leave comments. I’m looking for new software to put my blog on now, but I have other projects on the go.
WLBZ2.com – Florida Public Access Show Gets Ugly
Wow this is too funny. I have never seen 2 politicians do some thing like this before. This is definitely a new low for the profession of politics. Neither of these guys deserve to be elected if they behave like this.
