Charles E. Frees-Melvin

My personal spot on the web.

Movies

I love movies as you can tell by these posts.

Breast MenBreast Men R

Kinda dull but based on real life events, with a porno-elements in a tasteful manner. CEFM.ca Rating: 3/5

Outsourced Outsourced PG-13

This movie is a hoot and very ironic of you have ever worked for an outsourced company, or are an outsourcer. But is the story of people understanding other different cultures to help find themselves. CEFM.ca Rating: 4/5

Bolt Bolt PG

Definitely worth seeing in Real 3D. This is one of the first movies in 3D that I was not pissed off. Usually 3D movie do things to show off the 3D that takes away from the storytelling. But no Bolt bolt uses it to tell a story of a dog who it lost both literally and metaphorically who struggle to find his way home (and himself). Meanwhile the cat is also learning its true nature without being boring. A good movie for the whole family. CEFM.ca Rating: 3.5/5

Twilight
Twilight PG-13

This is definitely not the type of movie i typically go to but I really loved this movie. I especially liked the way the movie tied itself together so well. Also the fact of the way she trusted them despite the fact of him being a monster. I really love how the villain type can be a hero without seeming too good. CEFM.ca Rating: 4.5/5

Four Christmases Four Christmases PG-13

This was an amazing good movie. Definitely a romantic comedy that will toy with your emotions. These two are a perfect chemistry for each other. CEFM.ca Rating: 4.5/5

It’s been a while since I did a movie review here, and I have seen many in the past few weeks that I want to share.

Mamma Mia!

Not to take away from the stage version but the movie did not quite live up to my expectations. The transitions from spoken to song was very abrupt and did not flow very well. Rating: 2.5/5

The Dark Night

I really quite enjoyed this movie that a movie can keep you on the edge of your seat for over 2 hours then make you laugh, cry, and keep wondering what is going to happen. Rating: 4/5

Wanted

This movie is very unique. I really love Morgan Freeman in movies. He has got to be one of the greatest voices on film. Rating: 3.5/5

Journey to the Centre of the Earth 3D

This is the fist RealD movie I have seen, this movie was very interesting. The only issue I had was with the 3d there were so many bad edits just to show off the 3D that just was unnecessary. If you are calling it RealD keep it real, don’t fake it. CEFM Rating: 4/5

Love Guru CEFM Rating: 1.5/5

Get Smart CEFM Rating: 4.5/5

While since it is a new year it just seems different. 2006 was a very bad year as I posted a year ago now that I look back at the posts I made and 2007 went by without many successes or failures. But, now it ’tis 2008. I can’t wait this looks to be the year that every thing seems to be heading to.

This spring there is another one of those municipal elections. Not to say that I would run again seeing as how things are going, but who knows what will happen.

On the political side of things I don’t see me doing much this year as there is still uncertainty as to where I will be come the end of it.

I’m, along with Tony Tompkins are working on a web cast series titled “The Badger Hunter” the editing of the pilot episode is almost done on that and is slated for release on February 29th.  We are currently about to begin filming of the second episode.

I’ve been going over some of the code for my photo gallery and seem to have it fixed despite the unknown reason that the background of the main section disappears on FireFox or Safari. So I’m gonna get to adding the few new photos I have taken lately. I might even take more photos soon, need reason to get more active.

I have decided that the Crushed Beautifully series has come to an end, there will not be a third film in the series.

After 5 long months of production, I am pleased to announce the release of Crushed Beautifully 2: Crushed and Alone.
